Why are Russian soldiers in Ukraine abandoning their tanks and other military vehicles?

ANSWER: One reason may be that they know that their tanks and other military vehicles are good targets in Ukraine, and another reason may be that they simply do not want to kill Ukrainian civilians, including women and children. This is Putin's insane war, not theirs.
