Why doesn't the United States stay out of foreign wars? (There is more than one war currently underway--Yemeni civil war, Afghanistan--still not at peace, etc. etc.) As Europe IS as large (population and wealth) as the U.S. let them get involved as that would be more appropriate.
Owen, why should European countries get involved? Isn't it also a foreign war for them? Why did the U.S. get involved in World War 2? Wasn't that also foreign war?
When you try to hide from war, you eventually become a victim of war, as happened at Pearl Harbor.
